We are looking for individuals who are approachable, compassionate and reliable. An interest in health, community work or cancer awareness is helpful but not essential. You should feel comfortable speaking to members of the public and be mindful that some conversations may be sensitive in nature.
You will support a range of activities depending on your interests and availability. This may include helping at awareness events, engaging with the public in a friendly and respectful way, researching and carrying out fundraising initiatives and sponsorship opportunities, and supporting the general running of community sessions such as BRCA cafés.
We are looking for three passionate and reliable volunteers to support our awareness work, community events and fundraising activities. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference, build experience, and be part of a growing, supportive community.
This is an opportunity to be part of a meaningful cause, develop confidence and communication skills, and gain experience in community engagement, events and fundraising. You will also be contributing to work that supports individuals navigating complex and often emotional decisions.
BRCare Connect CIC is a community-focused organisation supporting individuals affected by BRCA+ (a faulty version of the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene that increases the risk of breast, ovarian and other cancers). We provide awareness, education, and supportive spaces to help people better understand their risk and feel less alone in navigating it.
